  Ecclesiates Ecclesiastes 8:15

  I voted by mail here in Florida.

  It is good to be at peace with onself and others.

  I lived and live as fully as my budjet allows.

  What I can't afford to do I watch on tv.

  Mainly travel

  I would like to leave something behind for posterity

  but at 62 years it seems kind of unlikely.

  I would like to live to 100.

  I'll shoot for the stars and maybe end up on the moon.

  The only input I have is diet and exercise and to a degree staying out of the way of moving objects.

  Going against my goal, I ride a motorcycle from time to time.

  To have a free mind, free from illusion,

  seems easier said than done.

  But a nobel goal.

  If anyone ever figures out how to do it.

  Posters do you know of any cases where a devout JW was DF'd for Lesbianism?

  i think this is a hush hush topic among jws but i remember years ago at an assembly i saw two sisters(i am only assuming they were jws they could have been studies or relatives of jws) walking arm and arm like a married couple.

  some of the jws looked at them like they had horns.

  some of the jws moms were covering their small children's eyes and those two women were stared at like they had the plague.

  The High Cost Of War

  britain is refinancing some soverign war bonds dating from the crimean war, napoleonic war and wwi, 2 $billion worth.

  2 century old debt.. our president has been reluctant to begin another war when the debt of the previous two wars hangs heavy.

  those of the prowar persuasion have insisted on 'boots on the ground' a move that would require 100,000s of personnel in the middle east and allocating billions in debt to cover the cost.. "every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and not clothed" president eisenhower.

  War now seems to be a way for money to be taken from the masses and given to the few.

  This seems to have been going on since the begining of history for the past 5000 years.

  That is what the record of history indicates.

  When Obama's time is up.

  The Bush family, Jeb will get back in office

  and start another war.

  Then our economy will really suffer.

  And who will put him in office? The right wing Christian fundamenalist.

  The Bush family and the Christians destroying America and the American economy

  is really hard to get my head around.

  I can only think they are not real Christians, they are proving false by their actions.

  They have a form of Godly devotion but prove false to its power.

  The number of real Christians in the world must be far fewer than most people think.

  Possibly even fewer than the number of JW's in the world.

  I would think real christians do not have a big central organization,

  but meet in small groups in peoples homes and store front and small independent churces.

  A question for my friends in the USA about cowboys.

  as a kid growing up in the uk we used to play 'cowboys and indians' and watch high chaparal and bonanza along with other cowboy films.

  later, in the 70's kung fu would be shown with caine going through the 'old west'.

  we even had a chocolate bar that was marketed with a 'cowboy' theme...milky bar.. as far as i know the 'wild west' as shown on tvdidn't actually exist.. are there people that believe it did?.

  I think cowboys still exist in many forms.

  If you go out in the country, farmers are still like cowboys.

  They wear cowboy hats, carry guns and herd animals.

  In the cities red necks/ hillbillies, are all over they wear cowboy hats and clothes and boots

  and listen to country music.

  A lot of people ride horses, cowboy hats and boots some places they even wear and carry guns.

  Country, hillbilly music is the new rock and roll, since rock and God have died.

  One out of every 4 cars in Florida has a gun in it.

  as a kid i only collected comic books until around 1962.. my collection was very important to me and i had emotional excitement at the release of a new comic--but--i made a date with 2 girls.

  on the same day and didn't have any money!

  (not thinking it through, you see :).

  I collect a lot of things.

  It irritates my wife.

  I have lots of guitars and amplifiers.

  I have started building guitars,

  because I have pretty much bought all the ones I like.

  I also have a box full of knives

  A box full of beer cans from the 70's.

  A box full of baseball cards.

  A wall full of books.

  A bag full of soccer balls.

  Books and guitars are something I am liable to buy any given day.

  I wont buy a book unless I am going to read it.

  And if I read it I keep it.

  I also have a collection of music and videos.

  I have every song that I have ever found remotely interesting.

  I started out collecting 78's 33&1/3's 45's, Cd's

  But for the past 10 years I have everything digitalized and saved on hard disc.

  I have videos of all my favorite bands and songs.

  I also have dvd's of all my favorite movies.

  I started out with Vhs and replaced them and continued on with dvd's.

  I started out collecting money, silver, stocks.

  I have many jars of change.

  I never give change when I buy things, I give dollar bills and put the change in

  jars.

  the collapse of large parts of the ice sheet in west antarctica appears to have begun and is almost certainly unstoppable, with global warming accelerating the pace of the disintegration, two groups of scientists reported monday.. the finding, which had been feared by some scientists for decades, means that a rise in global sea level of at least 10 feet may now be inevitable.

  the rise may continue to be relatively slow for at least the next century or so, the scientists said, but sometime after that it will probably speed up so sharply as to become a crisis.. this is really happening, said thomas p. wagner, who runs nasas programs on polar ice and helped oversee some of the research.

  theres nothing to stop it now.

  How Much Drinking Is Too Much?

  i have seen that some say if a man has 3 beers per day or a woman has 2 glasses of wine per day, that they may have .

  I would love to drink a bottle of whine every day.

  Or a six pack of light beer which would be about the same

  600 calories.

  I play soccer 4 times a week go to the gym 4 or 5 days a week.

  Cut the grass by hand.

  And I still can not keep my weigh down.

  If I were to take in 600 extra calories a day.

  I would be fat.

  I have seen how fat people get just from drinking coke every day.

  I drank a 6 pack a day in my twenties which is like a bottle of wine.

  I wish I could do it in my 60's

  It is kind of depressing.

  600 calories a day is 4200 a week.

  That is like eating 2 extra days worth of food.

  after a year you would be carring around an extra 100lbs.
